In the 5th round Arabidze beat Monnisha of India (2094) and is in the 6th place with 4.0 points. World Championship has 3 leaders who have 4.5-4.5 points: 1. Medina (Indonesia, 2301); 2. Bulmaga (Romania, 2387); 3. Kashlinskaya (Russia, 2434).
In the 6th round the Georgian chess player will face Jue Wang of China (2392) with white pieces, Kashlinskaya – Medina and Bulmaga – Cori of Peru (2433). Ana Kuchava (2092) lost to Stetsko of Belarus (2213) and is in the 39th place with 2.5 points.
At the boys’ tournament Zurab Javakhadze of Georgia (2457) played draw with Simone de Filomeno of Italy (2392) and is in the 36th place with 3.0 points. In the 6th round Javakhadze will play Benitez of Mexico (2308).
118 boys and 77 girls are participating in the championship which will end up on 26 September.
