Arabidze Lost Chances to Win Prizes

 

In the 12th round of World Youth Championship, Georgian Meri Arabidze (2379) lost to Russian Alexandra Goriachkina (2418) with black pieces and lost the chance of winning prizes.  

The Georgian chess player has 7.5 points and moved to the 11th place. The leader is Goriachkina, who has 9.5 points and Jansaia Abdumalik (2277) of Kazakhstan and Rueda Paula Andrea Rodriguez (2225) of Columbia are following her with 9.0 and 8.5 points.

In the final round, Arabidze plays against Sarasadat Khademalsharieh (2303) of Iran with white pieces. As for another participant of Girl’s Tournament, Ana Kuchava, she won over Ani Krumova (1993) of Bulgaria and is in the 32th place with 6.5 points. The final party she has against Sabina Ibrahimova (2202) of Azerbaijan.

The only participant of Boy’s Tournament, Zurab Javakhadze (2457) won over Alexandru Dragorimesku (2349) of Romania and is in the 31th place with 7.0 points. In the final round the Georgian chess player will face Tomas Laurusa (2398) of Lithuania.
