Arabidze Played Draw with Ranking-Leader

 

In the 10th round of World Youth Championship, Meri Arabidze (2379), Georgian chess player, played with black pieces against one of the leaders of ranking (2434) Russian Alina Kashlinskaia and played draw.

In result, Meri gained 7.0 points and is now in the 6th place. Romanian Irina Bulmaga (2387) is a leader with 8.0 points, Daisy Kore (2433) of Peru and Alexandra Goriachkina (2418) of Russia are 0.5 point behind from Bulmaga.

In the 11th round Kore and Goriachkina will face to each other, Bulmaga will play against Padmint (2312) of India and as for Arabidze, she plays against Aulia Varda Medina (2301) of Indonesia with white pieces.

In the previous round, Ana Kuchava (2092) won over Zivile Urbonavichiute (1826) of Lithuania with while pieces and with 5.0 points took the 39th place. In the next round, the Georgian chess player will face Russian Vlada Sviridova (2063) with black pieces.

Zurab Javakhadze (2457), the only Georgian participant of Men’s Tournament, won over Nico Georgiadis (2396) of Switzerland with white pieces and with 6.0 points he took the 25th place. In the 11th round, Javakhadze will play against Li Wang  (2258) of China with black pieces.

As you know, 13 rounds of this current World Championship should be held in Kocaeli, Turkey. The competition will end on September 26.
