Anna Is the Best

A 20-year-old Georgian tennis player Anna Tatishvili started a new season with victory. She beat Belarusian Darya Kustova 7:6 (7:4), 7:6 (7:1) at the tournament (220 000 USD) which is underway in the city of Australia, Brisbane. Tatishvili went through the second circle of the qualifying draw.
Georgian tennis player who is in the 134th place at Women's Tennis Association (WTA) ranking won over her Belarusian opponent (the 161st place) within an hour and 48 minutes.
Thanks to this victory, Tatishvili went through the second qualifying round, earned 6 rating points and 460 USD. On January 1 (at 5:00 Tbilisi time), Anna will play against Croatian Karolina Sprem who beat Japanese Misaki Doi 6:4, 5:7, 7:5.
A 26-year-old Sprem is in the 94 place at ranking. She showed her best result in October 2004 when she was in the 17th place. Tatishvili and Sprem played against each other only once. Croatian player beat Tatishvili 6:2, 6:3 in the qualifying round of Australian Open 2009. But she could not go through the main draw.
In case of beating Sprem (Anna will get 10 points), Georgian tennis player will play against winner between Australian Olivia Rogowska (the 259th place) and Dutch Arantxa Rus (the 139th place). In case of winning in the 3rd round, she will get in the main draw of Brisbane tournament and will earn 16 rating points.
