Bronze of Amiran

 

On the first day of World Championship champions and prize winners were found out in male 60 kg and female 48 kg.

Georgia had representative only in 60 kg. Amiran Papinashvili held five fights and won bronze medal.

In semifinal the Georgian lost gold-silver chance to Boldbaatar Ganbat of Mongolia.

Before that Amiran beat three opponents. He defeated Jeroen Mooren of Netherlands by waza-ari, Ashley Mckenzie of Great Britain and Sofiane Milous of France.

In repechage final Amiran Papinashvili won over Artiom Arshanski of Israel.

Boldbaatar Ganbat won gold medal and Beslan Mudranov won silver medal. Naohisa Takato won the second bronze medal.

Tomorrow champions and prize winners will be found out in male 66 kg and female 52 kg. 26 August is a day off for the Georgian team because we do not have participants in those weight classes.
