Amiran Papinashvili (60kg) won bronze medal at the European Championship, which was held in Montpellier, France.

The Georgian lost to Russian Beslan Mudranov in final and could not win the title.

Before Mudranov Amiran Papinashvili beat Finnish Vadud Balatkhanov, French Vincent Limar, Armenian Hovanes Davtyan and Azerbaijano Ilgar Mushkiev.

Today, wrestlers in 66kg weight category also participated, but Georgia had no representative in this weight. Tomorrow the medals we be awarded in 73 and 81 kg weight and Zebeda Rekhviashvili, Nugzar Tatalashvili (both 73kg) and Avtandil Chrikishvili (81kg) will be involved.
