“I could not finish the match because of my age” – Aleksandre Chivadze, head coach of the Georgian U-21 team, told apasport.az.

The 58-year-old captain of the Soviet Union team played only in the first half:

“It was a good match. So may legendary football players played together. Everything was great. Young players played better, more aggressive than us”.

Chivadze stated everybody played well:

“I do not want to name one player. Archil Arveladze scored two goals from our team. Kakha Tskhadadze and Tengiz Sulakvelidze played well in defense. Shota Arveladze could not arrive because his team had a match”.

hivadze was surprised by Baku:

“I could not recognize Baku. It is very beautiful. The Azerbaijani football has developed too. It makes me happy”.
