Aleksandre Chivadze:”under my managing the team fulfilled its mission and took the third place in the group. When I was appointed as manager of the team, we could not take the first of the second place in the group and according to it, we started to create a new team. I let those players who are born in 1992-93 play in the previous matches. Tomorrow’s match is important that including the previous matches, you will see 38 players how to play. Every sparring match is important for us, we have called up five new players: goalkeeper Tebidze, Kobalia (“Zugdidi”), Jgerenaia (“Gagra”), Chelebadze (“Shukura”), Stepniashvili (“Zimbru”). We were discussing to call up Kakha Khalvashi, who plays for “Kuban” Krasnodar, but his family called us and asked that to delay this task till the end of the season due to some problems. But they have desire their son to play for Georgian national team”.
- Is anyone injured in the team?
- Fortunately, none of them is injured.
- What is the goal of your players for the next match?
- Our goal is based on result. Two days ago Denmark played against Ukraine 0:0, tomorrow we will not have an easy match. Denmark has big traditions of football and it is expected to have a good team.
- It is a sparring match, but are you focused on result?
- We will play for result in any case. There is a big competition in the team and who will play have to prove that he deserved to play for the team.
Giorgi Chanturia midfielder of Georgian national U-21 team stated that the team will fight for victory:” there will be a very important and difficult match. We are playing at home and we enter the field for victory. Not matter it is a sparring match or now, we have to win. We held four matches and did not lose any of them. We have the last match of the season and we do not want to break this pleasant tradition”.
Before Georgian team would hold training at Mikheil Meskhi stadium, Danish team had training and after the end of it, Per Hall made a comment:” I think that it will be a good match. Georgia has a good team. In the previous week we played 0:0 against Ukraine, but it is a pity that we did not score any goal in this match. We took 19 players. We are preparing for the next qualifying stage and we want to test these guys”.
