In the conversation with "World Sport", Shota Arveladze, head coach of Turkish "Kayserispor", confirmed the information that "Ajax" Amsterdam blocked his bank account. According to Dutch De Telegraf, "Ajax" accused head coach of "Kayserispor" with 300 000 EUR.
According to the conclusion of court, "Ajax" paid less money in favor of the state budget after transfers of Arveladze and Michael Laudrup. The club is trying to return money from Georgian coach. According to director of "Ajax" Rick Van Der Burg, if they had not carried out verdict of Supreme Court, "Ajax" would have been imposed with additional sanctions.
"This information is true. My account was blocked in May when I was in Holland. This information has spread now. According to Dutch Tax Service, the club hid money from the budget, in return for my transfer from "Trabzon" to "Ajax" Amsterdam. Tax Service fined "Ajax". To protest this decision and not to pay money, the club complained about me in court and they are demanding 300 000 EUR . According to the law of Holland, "Ajax" had a right to block my account temporarily but it must not be sequestered after 3 months. Thanks to god, I do not have financial problem. I am not going to appeal this decision and I am waiting for what will happen next. It is "Ajax" and I am just disappointed. Besides that, they made me nervous. I have not talked to managers of "Ajax" about this issue. It is good that people are worrying about me in Georgia. By the way, "Ajax" has a claim on Michale Laudrup", - stated Arveladze in conversation with "World Sport".
Arveladze transfered from Trabzon to "Ajax" in 1997 and scored 66 goals in 115 matches. He left the club in 2001 when he continued playing for Scottish "Glasgow Rangers".
