Executive Committee Gave the Leadership of "Guria" 10-Day Period

 

Georgian Football Federation executive gave the leadership of “Guria” Lanchkhuti 10-day period to pay debts of football players.

Football players of “Guria” applied the federation with an official letter and asked them to protect their rights. The letter says that the club has accumulated a large debt towards the players and they have not received their salary during 4-5 months. If the situation does not improve the players will use their constitutional right and they will strike. Concretely, they will not play at the National Championship.

On Tuesday, the main issue for discuss was this at the executive council. As a result, committee members worked out the letter, which will be sent to the leadership of “Guria” and the governor of Lanchkhuti municipal council. The letter says, that due to pay debts the club has given 10-day period, otherwise it will impose sanctions and possibly the case will go so far that “Guria” will be waived from the draw.

After the executive committee meeting, Domenti Sichinava, president of Football Federation, stated that FIFA_UEFA legislation obliges his organization to protect football player’s rights. Sichinava says, that the tense situation in the one of the leader teams of the Championship is very disappointing. He stressed that the word “if” should not be existed for “Guria”.

Besides the issue of “Guria”, the executive re-approved the staff of the licensing committee.

Herewith, football federation applied the executive with a proposal to held the Championship of U-20 team. Competition committee of the federation and the General Secretariat will prepare this project and submit to the executive for consideration. In case of approval, it is possible to hold the U-20 Championship next season. It should be noted that the federation will take responsibility of organizational costs of the Championship.
