Agadir Junior World Judo Championship Starts Today

From today till October 24 Junior World Judo Championship will be hosted by the city of Marocco, Agadir.  National Teams of 78 countries will participate in this tournament.  According to the decision of International Judo Federation each country has right to represent two judokas in one weight category. Georgian team will use it in a maxim way.  Giorgi Gugava a head coach of Georgian Team will represent 16 sportsmen. Gugava will have debut at this championship. One month ago at European Championship Soso Liparteliani was a head coach of the team. In this championship Georgian team won 2 golden and 1 sliver medals. Otar Kaidarashvili (55 kg) and Avtandil Chrikashvili (81 kg) became European champions and Giorgi Nozadze (90 kg) won silver medal.
On the first day of World Championship champions and prize winners will be found out in 55 and 60 (females), 44 and 48 (males) weight categories. Otar Kaidarashvili, Likhum Chkhvimiani (both 55 kg), Giorgi Brolashvili and Shmagi Lagazauri (60 kg) will wrestle first.
46 participants will wrestle in 55 weight category. Otar Kiadarashvili will wrestle against Mongolian Khunlaij Enkhbaatar. The winner from this couple will go through the 1/16 final and will wrestle against Brazilian Sergio Nascimento. Chkhvimiani will wrestle against Tom Schmit of Luxemburg. In case of winning he will wrestle against Alli Rzaev of Azerbaijan.
In a result of voting 57 sportsmen will wrestle in 60 weight category. Lagazauri is among those lucky players, who are ranked on the second circle. His opponent will be Hossein Tuahr or Ande Soares. Brolashvili wrestles against Mohammad Razis of Pakistan and in case of winning will wrestle against Spanish Romeo Andres or Amerikan Jorj Trung.
 On October 22, on the second day of the championship Lasha Shavdatuashvili, Lasha Lomidze (Both 66 kg), Zebeda Rekhviashvili and Lasha Zurabiani (73 kg) will wrestle. On October 23 Avtandil Chrikashvili, Giorgi Mermanisvili (81 kg), Giorgi Nozadze and Archil Shinjikashvili (90 kg) will start competing. An only representative female of Georgia Shorena Sharadze(63 kg) also will start competing on this day. On the last day of the champiomship Onise Bughadze, Giorgi Koberidze ( both 100 kg), Levan Matiashvili and Ushangi Kokauri (+100) will wrestle.
