Georgian national judo team went to Abu Dhabi, which tomorrow-the day after tomorrow will host the prestigious tournament-Grand Prix. The Georgian team will come out on the tatami in the renewed composition. Irakli Uznadze, head coach of the team, chose young judokas.
Six judokas will wrestle in honor of Georgia: Leri Chelidze (60kg), Vazha Margvelashvili and Giorgi Kaldani (66kg), Zurab Nozadze (73kg), Paata Gviniashvili (90kg) and Rostom Khakhaleishvili (+100kg).
Chelidze, Margvelashvili, Kaldani and Nozadze will be involved tomorrow and Gviniashvili and Khakhaleishvili will wrestle the day after tomorrow.
Irakli Uznadze will take the backbone of the team to Japan on November 26, where the memorial of Jigoro Kano will be held from November 29 to December 1, which has the status of “Grand Slam”. 10-day joint practices will be followed the tournament, in which the Georgian also will take part.
Full Japanese list of Georgians is not clarified yet. Agreed only that few athletes will go to Japan to participate in the trainings.
