Today the 2015 Georgian women and men’s championships opened at Tbilisi Chess Palace. Zurab Azmaiparashvili, deputy minister of Sport and Youth Affairs of Georgia, attended the ceremony. Azmaiparashvili also is a president of European Chess Union.

According to Azmaiparashvili, Georgia will host the 2015 European Individual Women’s Championship in May. Exact place and time of the tournament will be found out later.
