Georgian top seed Nikoloz Basilashvili said goodbye to Qatar Exxonmobil Open. In 1/8 final Nikoloz lost to world No.27 Ivo Karlovic of Croatia 6:7, 3:6.

In the first set Basilashvili was leading 3:1 but Karlovic made break back. Finally, Karlovic won the first set on tie-break – 7:3.

In the second Karlovic made break on 2:1 which turned out to be decisive. The match lasted an hour and 22 minutes.

Basilashvili served 4 aces and made 5 double faults. Karlovic served 19 aces and had no double fault.

Finally, Basilashvili won 3 matches in the qualifying draw and one in the main draw.
