Georgian Greco-Roman and Free-style wrestling team compete at international tournament which is part of preparation for World Championship.
Last weekend, Greco-roman team competed at Yadegar Imam tournament which is underway in Tehran and gained four medals. Kemal Kharabadze (60kg), Ilia Gulbatashvili (74kg) and Revaz Nadareishvili (84kg) were very close to the final victory. Tariel Ebralidze (66kg) gained a bronze medal.
Free-style wrestles also wrestled at Ali Aliev traditional international tournament and gained three bronze medals. Murtaz Kvesadze (55kg), Iakob Makarashvili (74kg) and Elizbar Odikadze (96kg) became prize winners.
Otar Tatishvili and Revaz Mindorashvili the head coach of Georgian Greco-roman and free-style wrestling teams took the second-third number players to Tehran and Makhachkala tournaments. More experienced players supposedly will compete at other tournaments. At the end June, there will be held Georgian Cup and world championship and the sportsmen will be selected according to their results at the previous tournaments.
The main tournament of the season is held on September 16-22 in Budapest.
