Zurab Khizanishvili: "I Hope by Coming Tskhadadze the Failed Matches Stay in Past"

After the appointment of Kakha Tskhadadze as a coach, we contacted Zurab Khizanishvili, former player and captain of Georgian national team, and asked about the new coach. Besides, we talked about his career and as it turned out, 33-year-old player is without a team yet.

-Kakha Tskhadadze was appointed as the head coach of Georgian national team. What can you say about new coach?

-I am abroad at present, however, I have also heard about the team’s new head. I know Kakha Tskhadadze for a long time and I have a friendly relationship with him.

Herewith, Tskhadadze proved that he is a high-level coach by the result shown in “Inter” Baku. Kakha spent quite a long time in Azerbaijani club and this is not an easy thing. He can help the team to achieve success. I hope, that by arriving Tskhadadze in the team, the failed matches will stay in past and Georgian fans, football players and journalists will be happy.

-You have returned to the Georgian Championship after a long pause. Do you think that during your absence the Georgian Championship’s level have rose.

-I cannot say that it rose, but some positive moments are observed. For example, there are still talented children in football, who can play at a high level. Their success is a precondition of national team’s success.

-What can you say about your career? Do you have any offers?

-I cannot say anything concretely. At this point, I am without team and cannot say in which team I will continue my career.
