Roman Rurua, presidential candidate of the National Wrestling Federation, thinks about withdrawal and will get the final decision today.
“Being at the head of wrestling is very labour-consuming and hard work. You have to focus only on it from dawn to dusk. Perhaps it’s better to stay there I was before – in the control group of Federation. However, I have not received the final decision yet”, - said Roman Rurua to “world sport”.
The veteran wrestler presented his application in the Federation first. After, Valeri Gelashvili and Manuchar Kvirkvelia have nominated. Another two veterans, Gogi Makasarashvili and Guram Sagaradze, nominated at the end of the deadline. Guram Sagaradze quickly changed his decision and withdrew. The move of Makasarashvili immediately raised the suspicion that Roman Rurua would change his mind.
“If I had decided firmly, Makasarashvili would not raise his candidacy” – said Roman Rurua.
The extraordinary congress will take place on December 26 in Vake wrestling club and will be noisy.
