Avtandil Chrikishvili (81kg), member of Georgian judo team, was named the outstanding male wrestler of 2014 by the International Judo Federation. European and World champion will receive “IJF’s prestige” prize by the initiative of Marius Vizer, president of Federation.

Among women, Mailinda Kelmend got the same recognition, who last season won all the titles.

Chrikishvili and Kelmend are the absolute leaders of world ranking (of all weight categories) and will receive 50-50 000 USD besides the prestige prize from JUdo International Federation.

Varlam Liparteliani, European champion 2014 and world’s bronze medalist will receive 10 thousand, as most ranking judoka of 90 kg weight category. All leaders of this weight category will receive the same sum of money:
