Giorgi Daraselia was appointed as the head coach of “Torpedo” Kutaisi. Ramaz Chkhikvadze, spokesman of “Torpedo”, informed “world sport”.

46-year-old Daraselia appointed as head coach on December 15 and city government will present him later. In the first circle of national Championship,“Torpedo” was coached by Rezo Dzodzuashvili, whose contract was ended due to unsatisfactory result.

Giorgi Megreladze, former forward of “Torpedo”, will be the assistant of Daraselia. Under the leadership of the new coach, “Torpedo” will gather on January 3, next year, and will resume training in Kutaisi. In late January, “Torpedo” will leave for Turkey for two-week meeting.

Daraselia played for “Torpedo” in 1988-1989 and 1990-1993. In the previous season, he trained “Zugdidi”, which he left after the end of the Championship. He also worked as the head coach of “Dila” Gori.
