Serhiy Kanana, sports director of “Illichivets” Mariupol, told Ukrainian internet portal football.ua “Shakhtar” Donetsk will decided the fate of Davit Targamadze.

“As for Targamadze and Ischenko, these players sent letters to the club. They wrote they have families and are afraid of arriving in Mariupol due to the current situation. Unlike other players who decided to leave the club and we talked to them, these players left the team willfully. “Shakhtar” will decide their fate because the players have contracts with this club. Their loan contracts with us will expire on December 31” – stated Kanana.

25-year-old Targamadze held 3 matches in “Illichivets” but did not arrive in Mariupol due to military operations in eastern Ukraine. He was not called up for the Georgian national team either.
