Ketsbaia Makes a Decision after the Match against Poland

Temur Ketsbaia, head coach of the Georgian national football team, told Cypriot internet portal anorthosinews.blogspot.com he might leave the post before Euro 2016 qualification.

“We are in a tough group. Interest toward football is vanishing in Georgia. The situation is worse than in Cyprus. 14 from 16 Super League clubs are expecting help from the government. Many players do not play abroad anymore. Nothing is going to a positive way.

I might leave the post before the end of the qualifying round. We will play Poland and then I will make a decision. It is tough. I do not want to be called coach of only the national team. I also have ambition and want to achieve something”.

Ketsbaia has not stated whether he will go back to Cyprus after leaving the national team:

“I do not know. I prefer going somewhere where I will coach a club. I miss football”.
