Georgia Is through to Elite Round

The Georgian U-17 team went through to elite round with the second place. Head coach Gocha Tkebuchava watched Georgia-Poland match from tribune because he was sent off in the match against Estonia. His assistant Giorgi Nemsadze headed the team.

In the middle of the first half Kamil Jozwiak assisted Dominik Prusaczyk who scored goal.

At the beginning of the second half Kamil Jozwiak kicked the ball and Isiani saved his team.

After 10 minutes Vato Arveladze took a free kick and Zynel parried the ball.

At the end of the match Arabidze had a chance to restore the score but could not use it.

The elite round draw will take place in Nyon (Switzerland) on December 3.

Gocha Tkebuchava: “I thought we would have played badly and the opponent would have played better. I think the boys played well. We could not have lost. Poland played better in other matches. We changed goalkeeper. Bulukhadze played as a right defender and I cannot say he played well. Arabidze was very active. Lejava and Ninua were tired. As for the tournament, thanks god we made through. It was important for us. Everything went on logically. Poland took the first place and we – the second one. We received suggestion from Minsk and on January 17 we will depart for the tournament. Ukraine, Russia, Japan and Belgium will also participate in it”.
