Nugzar Skhireli, new head coach of the Georgian freestyle wrestling team, wrote down the expanded list of the team candidates. He will choose the composition for the last tournament of the season from this list. On November 6 the Georgian team will depart for Moscow to wrestle at European Open Cup.

Two weeks ago Luka Kurtanidze, president of the Georgian Wrestling Federation, named Skhireli on the post of head coach but the joint training process has not started yet. A big part of the wrestlers refused to practice unless Luka Kurtanidze retires.

“A very important tournament is ahead and our team must participate in it. The team needs two meetings for the preparation but we manage only one due to the current situation. I wrote down the expanded list. I will call up these sportsmen for two-week meeting on October 22. Hopefully, members of the team will make a right decision and will resume practicing. Otherwise, I will make my choice on those sportsmen who will participate in the meeting”, - Nugzar Skhireli told “World Sport”.
