Strachan: "We Can Beat Georgia as a Team"

Gordon Strachan, head coach of the Scotland national team, stated at the pre-match press conference against Georgia that he hopes fans will be happy with the victory in the upcoming match.

“We want to make the Scottish sport fans happy. The players make me feel good, and confident. They determine the mood of the coaches most of the time and they have satisfied me this week." – stated Strachan.

Scotland have not played at a major finals since the 1998 World Cup but an upturn in results and an expanded tournament have raised hopes of a return to France the year after next.

"How you get there, you never know. You cannot plan it. You never know when the big games are and when the disasters are coming.”

Gordon Strachan hopes his team will beat the Georgians as a team.

“We know we are playing a good team. Georgia blamed unluckiness for their failure but they lost by the amazing goal of Aiden McGeady. We can also beat Georgia as a team.”

Euro 2016 qualifying match between Scotland and Georgia will start at 20:00 Tbilisi time in Glasgow. The Georgian Public Broadcaster will broadcast live of the match.
