After the meeting with Levan Kipiani, Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs, members of Georgian Freestyle and Greco-Roman teams say that the national teams will resume training tomorrow and the Federation’s Supervisory Board will appoint the extraordinary presidential elections.

Minister Levan Kipiani also made official comment after the meeting, which lasted for 3 hours and was closed for journalists.

“The situation is complicated, but it can be overcome with united effort. The Supervisory Board will continue their work to hold the extraordinary elections. The report will be published in the coming days,” – said Kipiani.

The veteran wrestler, member of the Presidium of the Federation, Guram Sagaradze made the following statement: “The whole wrestling world unanimously requires Federation’s extraordinary presidential elections. Only one thing is left for Luka Kurtanidze, he should make the brave decision and leave his post. As agreed, the Supervisory Board will soon announce the date of the extraordinary congress and the wrestlers will still be involved in the training process”.
