The Georgian delegation won other two medals at European Senior Championship which is under way in the city of Portugal, Porto. Zurab Sturua (2525) and Nona Gaprindashvili (2244) achieved success in rapid.

It is worth mentioning that women and men participated in the same tournament.

Sturua earned 7.0 points in 9 rounds and took the third place. Zurab and Antonio Fernandez (Portugal, 2315) had equal points.

Tsiala Kasoshvili (2112) gained 5.5 points and took the 4^th place. As for Nino Gurieli (2298), she took the 8^th place with 5.0 points.

Nona Gaprindashvili (2244) earned 6.5 points and won bronze medal. Tamar Khmiadashvili (2026) gained 5.0 points in 9 rounds and took the 9^th place.

On March 21 blitz will be held in Porto and European Championship will end up.
