Varlam Liparteliani's Silver Medal at Paris Grand Prix

Varlam Liparteliani (100 kg) won silver medal at Paris Grand Prix.

Liparteliani competed in Pool C. He defeated Jae Yun Kim of South Korea, Danilo Pantic of Montenegro, Jevgenijs Borodavko of Latvia and Arman Adamian of Russia. In final, the Georgian lost to Peter Paltchik of Israel.

Gela Zaalishvili was close to winning a medal in +100 kg. The Georgian won over Shahin Gahramanov of Azerbaijan, David Moura of Brazil, Bekmurod Oltiboev of Uzbekistan and Roy Meyer of Netherlands. In semifinal Zaalishvili fell to Henk Grol of Netherlands. In “bronze final” he lost to Inal Tasoev of Russia.

As a result, Georgia won only one silver medal at Paris Grand Prix.
