The Georgian delegation won another medal at the ongoing championship in China. In the meeting for bronze Varlam Liparteliani (100 kg) faced Russian Arman Adamian and defeated him.

The Georgian judoka started competing in Group A, where he beat Hungarian, French and Israeli representatives. In semifinal, he lost to Michael Korrel of Netherlands. The meeting for the third place ended successfully.
