Georgian U-19 Team Is European Champion

 

The Georgian U-19 rugby team returned the title of European champion. “Little Lelos” defeated Belgium 32:6 in the final which took place in the capital of Portugal, Lisbon.

The Georgian rugby players had advantage in the first half and advanced by the penalties of Giorgi Aptsiauri and Revaz Jinchvelashvili. But at the end of the half they were scored penalties. However, the team of Davit Vartanian scored four tries in the second half and won European champion.

Thanks to this victory, the Georgian team will participate in World U-20 Cup which will be held in Hong Kong next year. Japan, Canada, Namibia, Tonga, Uruguay, USA and host teams will also compete in the tournament.
