Revaz Davitadze won the first medals from the Georgian team at World Weightlifting Championship.

Davitadze (89 kg) lifted 166, 169 and 172 kg in snatch and gained the title of world champion. Then, the 21-year-old Georgian lifted 199 kg in clean and jerk. In total Davitadze lifted 371 kg and won bronze medal.

Tomorrow Anton Pliesnoi will compete in 96 kg. The championship will end on September 27.
