The Georgian freestyle wrestling team finished World Championship with 2 gold and 1 bronze medal.
On the last day of the tournament, Elizbar Odikadze (97 kg) had a chance to win a medal but he lost bronze medal to Olympic champion Kyle Frederick Snyder – 0:5.
As a result, Elizbar gained license for Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
World Championship has finished in Kazakhstan. Like the Georgian Greco-Roman wrestling team, freestyle wrestling team finished the championship with three medals (two gold, one bronze) and two Olympic licenses.
