The Georgian sumo wrestler is competing with injured knee but still has a chance to keep the prestigious title of ozeki. He needs to win at least 3 from the remaining 5 bouts.
Tochinoshin’s next opponent will be one of the leaders of Aki Basho Takakeisho. Head-to-head between these two sumo wrestlers is 2:6 in favor of Takakeisho.
Unlike Tochinoshin, another Georgian sumo wrestler Teimuraz Jugeli lost his bout. He fell to Asagyokusei.
Gagamaru is in a very bad shape. He needs to win all remaining 5 bouts in order to have positive balance at the current basho.
Tomorrow Jugeli will face Irodori who beat the Georgian previously.
