The third day of World Championship turned out to be unsuccessful for Georgian delegation in Tokyo, Japan. Olympic champion Lasha Shavdatuashvili (73 kg) lost 1/8 final.

Before failure, Lasha beat Calvin Knoester of Australia and Victor Scvortov of the United Arab Emirates by ippons. In 1/8 final he fell to Shohei Ono of Japan by ippon.
