Georgian tennis player Nikoloz Basilashvili beat Dusan Lajovic of Serbia 3:6, 6:4, 6:4 in the first round of Montreal Masters (6 338 885 USD).
The Georgian did not hold his best match but managed to win it anyway.

Basilashvili did not participate in Montreal last year. So, he earned 45 ranking points by defeating Lajovic. In the second round the Georgian will face Jan-Lennard Struff of Germany who beat Jo-Wilfried Tsonga of France 6:2, 6:2.
