After Federer, Basilashvili Won Hamburg European Open Twice in a Row!

Nikoloz Basilashvili is a champion of Hamburg European Open! The Georgian won the German tournament twice in a row and after legendary Roger Federer (the Swiss won in 2004-2005), Basilashvili is the first tennis player who won this tournament twice in a row.

As a result, Nikoloz defended 500 ranking points and maintained the 16th place in the ranking. As for the match, Basilashvili defeated Russia’s Andrei Rublev in three sets – 7:5, 4:6, 6:3. The Georgian beat the Russian for the second time.

Nikoloz earned 354 845 EUR and defended 500 ranking points. He won ATP 500 tournament (twice in Hamburg, once in Beijing) for the third time.
