Georgian sumo wrestler Levan Gorgadze is suffering from injuries and pulled out of Nagoya Basho. Tochinoshin lost all 5 bouts at the current tournament.

According to NHK, the Georgian ozeki applied to the Japanese Sumo Association on pulling out of the tournament. Tochinoshin will have to defend the title of ozeki in September Basho where he will have to win 8 out of 15 bouts.

“I have serious problems on my right knee. I felt pain during the practice. I cannot do my best at the tournament. It is a huge disappointment”, - Tochinoshin told NHK.
