27-year-old Georgian tennis player Nikoloz Basilashvili made through to 1/8 final of Miami Masters (9 314 875 USD).
In the second round No.17 seed Basilashvili beat Mischa Zverev of Germany 6:3, 6:2. In the third round the Georgian defeated Robin Haase of the Netherlands 7:6 (7:3), 6:3.
The match lasted an hour and half. Nikoloz served 14 aces and made 7 double faults (his opponent had 7 and 3).
Basilashvili made 2 from 7 break-points and lost his own serve only once. Overall, the Georgian won 80 rallies and the German – 67.
Thanks to this victory, Basilashvili earned 1930 ranking points and is in the 17th place in live-ranking.
