Georgian tennis player Nikoloz Basilashvili fell to Greece’s Stefanos Tsitsipas (world No.15) 3:6, 6:3, 6:7 (7:9), 4:6 in the third round of Australian Open. The match lasted three hours.
The third set was decisive which the Greek was winning 5:2. Nikoloz managed to equalize the score but lost on tie-break.
One of the reasons of Nikoloz’s failure was his 51 unforced errors. His opponent had only 26.
Basilashvili defended 90 ranking points and earned 105 000 USD.
