Georgia’s Ushangi Margiani and Beka Gviniashvili will wrestle in 90 kg at World Championship. Gviniashvili beat Avtandil Tchrikishvili in final of European Cup in Bratislava and won a right to wrestle for Georgia at World Championship.
On the way to final the Georgians defeated four-four opponents in Slovakia. Gviniashvili won over James Reid of Great Britain, Benoit Collin of France, Dmytro Berezhnyi of Ukraine and Mohab El Nahas of Canada by ippon-ippon. Tchrikishvili beat Martin Huszar of Hugary, Toni Grohn of Germany, Hatem Abd El Akher of Egypt and Roman Dontsov of Russia.
Paata Gviniashvili also wrestled in 90 kg but lost gold-silver chance in ¼ final. He did not wrestle in repechage semifinal.
