Beka Gviniashvili Lost the Georgian Final

Georgian judoka Beka Gviniashvili (90 kg) won silver medal and earned 700 ranking points at Abu Dhabi Grand Slam. The 22-year-old Georgian lost the final to Nikoloz Sherazadishvili of Spain who is ethnically Georgian.

Gviniashvili beat three opponents before the final. He defeated Eduardo Bettoni of Brazil, Komronshokh Ustopiriyon of Tajikistan and Alexander Roslyakov of Russia.

Varlam Liparteliani wrestled in 100 kg but he lost the first meeting to Giuliano Loporchio of Italy.

Georgia had six judokas at the tournament and two of them won medals. On the first day Vazha Margvelashvili (66 kg) won bronze medal.
