“First of all I congratulate Serbian team on the World Championship. As for Dusan Tadic, he is one of the best in the world. Everyone saw the first half, we played well, well organized.
I mentioned earlier that Serbia is a good team. Our goalkeeper was good in 3-4 moments. We lost all games in these qualifications, but we have made a big step towards the future. After the meeting we have a dinner with the President and my issue will be solved there.
I want to tell all the clubs and the country to pay attention to our captain Jaba, who is without club and only practices. This guy is unbelievably good. Khocholava, Aburjania, Jighauri – it was not easy to hit the lineup. I gave them a chance to play.
I cannot agree that we do not play well at home – we played well but lost 1:3 in Tbilisi, we had a chance to win. We play, but we cannot score. We need experienced players such are Okriashvili, Mchedlidze and Ananidze”, – said Weiss.
The Georgian national team ended up the World Championship 2018 qualifying cycle with 5 points and occupied the 5th place. The team of Vladimir Weiss played 2 draws of 5 and lost 3 times in home matches. In away matches – 3 draws, 2 defeats.
