The youth teams of the Georgian freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling teams achieved success in Latvia. The Georgian sportsmen won 16 medals (8 gold, 1 silver and 7 bronze) at the Freidenfelds Memorial on March 22-23
The freestyle wrestling team won 3 gold and 5 bronze medals. Shota Partenadze (60 kg), Omar Gurjidze (66 kg) and Nodar Kurtanidze (96 kg) became champions. Aleksandre Kiladze (50 kg), Nugzar Bolkvadze (50 kg), Ramaz Darchidze (55 kg), Tarzan Maisuradze (74 kg) and Giorgi Chkhartishvili (84 kg) took the third place.
The Greco-Romans won 5 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals. Gizo Meladze (55 kg), Shmagi Bolkvadze (66 kg), Gela Bolkvadze (74 kg), Lasha Gobadze (84 kg) and Akaki Kandelaki (120 kg) became champions. Kukuri Kirtskhalia (96 kg) lost the final. Murad Mikeladze (60 kg) and Bakur Gogol (66 kg) won bronze medals.
The both Georgian teams took the first place.
