Martin O'Neill: "Georgia Deserves More Points than It Has Now"

The Georgian national football team will host Ireland tomorrow. Martin O’Neill, head coach of the guest team, held a pre-match press conference.

According to the experienced specialist, it will be a tough match. O’Neill noted that Georgia is showing a good football in the current qualifying round and should have more points than it has now.

“I am sure it will be a tough match. Georgia should have more points than it has now.

Jonathan Walters is ready to play. It is miracle because he had a very serious injury. He is a very important player for us and we are happy that he has recovered. We are ready to play in any circumstances and I think weather will not be a problem for us.

I remember Aiden McGeady scored a beautiful goal in Tbilisi three years ago. He is in good form again but I do not know where he will be in lineup or not.

The season has just started and not everybody is in good form. For example, Shane Long does not have playing practice but he is also doing his best for the team.

I want to say again that it will be a tough match. Georgia played at very high level in Dublin, Wales. We are analyzing all matches and I believe that we will reach our goal”, - Martin O’Neill stated.

Georgia – Ireland match will be held at Dinamo Arena on September 2. The match will start at 20:00.
