The Georgian judo team is 9-time champion of Europe. Today Georgia won European Team Championship in Warsaw.

In final the Georgians defeated Russia 3:2.

The final started with Vazha Margvelashvili (66 kg) and Anzaur Ardanov. Margvelashvili won by ippon. In 73 kg Lasha Shavdatuashvili lost to Uali Kurzhev.

Zebeda Rekhviashvili (81 kg) fell to Stanislav Semenov and Russia advanced 2:1.

Beka Gviniashvili won over Magomed Magomedov by waza-ari – 2:2.

Guram Tushishvili beat Renat Saidov and Georgia won 3:2.

Before the final Georgia defeated Italy (4:1), Serbia (4:1) and Ukraine (3:2).
