Georgia’s No.1 chess player Nana Dzagnidze did that numerous Georgian women chess players did not manage – she became champion of Europe. In the last round, Nana played draw with Russian representative Natalya Pogonina and earned 8.5 points. Because her immediate competitor Aleksandra Goryachkina also played draw and earned 8 points, the Georgian grandmaster became unavailable.
Worldsport.ge congratulates Dzagnidze with this success and wishes her greater victory in the future.
