It took 22-year-old Guram Tushishvili (+100 kg) only 5 minutes and 59 seconds to win 4 meetings and gold medal at Baku Grand Slam.
Tushishvili beat Aykhan Jafarov of Azerbaijan, Rafael Silva of Brazil and Ushangi Kokauri by ippon-ippon. In final Guram defeated Barna Bor of Hungary.
The Georgian earned 1000 ranking points and will advance in the world ranking.
Onise Bughadze (+100 kg) took the third place. In the main draw he won over Harun Sadikovic of Bosnia and Herzegovina but then fell to Barna Bor of Hungary.
In repechage semifinal Bughadze beat Roy Meyer of Netherlands and Ushangi Kokauri of Azerbaijan. The Georgian judoka won bronze medal and 500 points.
Ushangi Margiani (90 kg) also won bronze medal. He defeated Yusuke Kobayashi of Japan but failed to Mammadali Mehdiyev of Azerbaijan.
In repechage Margiani beat Mattias Kuusik of Estonia and Tural Safguliyev of Azerbaijan.
Davit Ozbetelashvili (100 kg) also wrestled today but he lost the first round to Peter Paltchik of Israel.
Georgia took the third place with 1 gold and 3 bronze medals.
