The Georgian judo team finished the first day of Baku Grand Slam with one bronze medal. Today Lasha Giunashvili and Tornike Nagliashvili wrestled in 66 kg and Giunashvili took the third place.

Lasha beat Gabit Yessimbetov of Kazakhstan but then lost to Nijat Shikhalizada of Azerbaijan.

In repechage semifinal Giunashvili defeated Kherlen Ganbold of Mongolia by waza-ari. In final the Georgian won over Denis Vieru of Moldova by waza-ari and earned bronze medal with 500 ranking points.

Tornike Nagliashvili fell to Tal Flicker of Israel.

Tomorrow Lasha Shavdatuashvili, Omar Niazashvili (both 73 kg), Giorgi Papunashvili and Tamaz Kirakozashvili (both 81 kg) will wrestle in the name of Georgia.
