Gia Tsetsadze, head coach of Samtredia, was named the best coach of Georgia 2016. The Imereti club became champion of Georgia for the first time under the leadership of Tsetsadze.
Tsetsadze did not attend award ceremony and Giorgi Datunaishvili, captain of Samtredia, accepted the prize.
Besides Tsetsadze, the nominees were Soso Pruidze, head coach of Chikhura Sachkhere, and Kakhaber Chkhetiani, head coach of Torpedo.
The GFF’s poll ended up on December 20. Head coaches and captains of First and Second Leagues participated in the poll. Head coaches and captains of women’s and futsal clubs also participated in the poll.
