The Georgia national basketball team is very close to making through to EuroBasket. Georgia beat Slovakia 96:68 in the fifth game of the qualifying stage.
After the first half Georgia was winning with 12 points (51:39). Tornike Shengelia was the best on the floor. He earned 24 points in the first half and 31 points in the game. Tornike scored 9 from 11 2-point, 2 from 3 3-point and all 7 free throws. Besides that, he earned 6 rebounds.
Zaza Pachulia gained 10 points and 7 rebounds in 27 minutes. Michael Dixon, Giorgi Shermadini and Viktor Sanikidze also earned more than 10 points.
Georgia has 4 wins and is in the second place in the group. The Georgians will play Montenegro in Podgorica on September 17.
