“I have not achieved anything yet. Wrestling goes on and everything will be found out in the evening” – Vladimer Khinchegashvili, the most titled member of the Georgian freestyle wrestling team, told World Sport. Khinchegashvili beat three opponents in the morning program and made through to final of the Olympic Games twice in a row.

In 1/8 final the Georgian wrestler defeated Nurislam Sanayev of Kazakhstan 4:3. In ¼ final Vladimer won over Haji Aliyev of Azerbaijan 4:3 and in semifinal he beat Vladimir Dubov of Bulgaria 8:4.

In final the Georgian will face Rei Higuchi of Japan.

The final block will start at 23:00 Tbilisi time.

Today champion and prize winners will also be revealed in 74 kg. Jakob Makarashvili wrestled in the name of Georgia but he lost ¼ final.
